Motherhood vs Personal Routine & Confusions

Motherhood is a full-time responsibility – especially when your baby is just one year old. Life suddenly starts revolving around feeding times, diaper changes, and sleepless nights. Amidst all this, one common question haunts many mothers – “Mere liye time kab bachega?”

Balancing motherhood and personal routine is not easy, but it’s possible with small, realistic steps. The first thing to accept is that your routine will never be perfect – and that’s okay. Babies grow fast, and every phase brings new challenges. Instead of forcing yourself into a strict timetable, create a flexible routine. For example, if your baby naps for 30 minutes, use that time for yourself – read a page, meditate, or just breathe.

One simple tip: prioritize over planning. If you keep waiting for a free hour, it might never come. But using 10–15 minutes wisely can make a big difference. Write your daily “mini goals” – like “revise one topic,” or “watch one online lecture.” Small steps add up over time.

Also, stop comparing. Har maa ki journey alag hoti hai. Some mothers return to studies soon, others take a break – both are fine. The key is to stay connected with your goals emotionally, even if progress feels slow.

Lastly, remember that self-care is not selfish. A happy, calm mother raises a confident child. So, next time guilt tries to stop you, remind yourself – you’re not ignoring your baby; you’re preparing a stronger version of yourself for your child’s future.
